Philip Murphy

Orlando, FL

GEN, DES

I drive business growth through analytics, technology and team building. I was a Marine Corps aviator for over twenty years before moving into sales and operations. Marine aviation is not unlike analytics; it is fundamentally, about taking in a large amount of information in a short period of time and distilling it down to what it most important. I used that mindset to set sales records and run operations at a large aerospace company and I use it in my approach to applying analytics to business.

Jeff Olfert

Lake Oswego, OR

GEN, DGN, PRD

I enjoy connecting data science and business results. I lead innovative teams in the use of business analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to deliver business value. I'm a technology executive with unique experience in both software engineering leadership, and business analytics. I use data-driven guidance every day to deliver exceptional results, (ask me for a demo of Gitprime and I'll show you an example). I have twenty-five years of growth in software engineering, culminating in senior research and development vice-president and director-level roles.

I will complete the Harvard Business Analytics Program in June 2020.

Analytics AI/ML focused tools that I like to use include Gitprime / Flow, R, RStudio, DataRobot, Python, Tableau, New Relic, Loggly.

Reflecting on my engineering career I've found that I tend to work on innovative teams that use data to solve hard problems: many of the products I have helped deliver are data-analytics focused and have large data sets, complex algorithms, or a combination of both.

Outside of work, I also enjoy raising my family, teaching my kids to ski, coaching baseball, kiteboarding, and snowboarding. My long term dream is to live and work near the river and mountains perhaps in Hood River, OR - as long as there is a fantastic internet connection.
